Welcome back to a sane world!
PROMPT #191
I came across these soul-stirring lines
A.R. Ammons, Garbage
A friend told me to read a review of Garbage, and I ended up reading the book itself. Yes, a book-length poem called Garbage. Why? In Ammons’s own words,
garbage is spiritual, believable enough
to get our attention, getting in the way, piling
up, stinking, turning brooks brownish and
creamy white: what else deflects us from the
errors of our illusionary ways.
And then I couldn’t write for a week because language had been turned to trash for me.

Xploration Challenge is a real challenge this week, not just a writing prompt. Take your time. It can be more than a week, if needed. I will include it in future weekly wraps.
The challenge is to take a belief, a dream, a philosophy, a religion of yours, and turn it into trash.
Doodle something on a piece of paper, click a picture on your phone and post it here.
Play the Devil’s Advocate. See it from the other end of the bridge. Is there anything that connects you still?
Don’t worry … you will get back to a normal life after that. It is only creativity that matters here.
FOR THE NEWCOMERS
There is no restriction on length of the piece. There is no last date either, unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
Any post that is found to be offensive, vulgar or something that hurts common sensibilities will not be included. This needs to be a safe space.
Create a post on your blog, and copy-paste the link in Comments. In case you are using a pingback, do check back to see if it has worked.
The feminists, humanists and individualists amongst you are welcome to follow us at
