Santa’s Badges

Dear Santa,

Look back and think what did you bring last year, and what was the intent.

You may well have the vaccine in your bag this year, but don’t wear it as a badge of honour. There has been enough destruction before your annual arrival.

On the other hand, if there is a method behind the madness, and there were certain lessons in your bag, I bow down to accept those.

Let the good remain. Let the changed perspectives continue to strengthen human life. Let those frail threads between us do not snap.

And ensure that nations do not indulge in warfare of the kind, where they sacrifice their own population too. It is the lowest level of human intelligence.

Spell out the overall purpose of human existence, so that people do not go berserk destroying each other and themselves. Stop them from creating Frankensteins at the next level of existence, and write stories of their own doom. Give them a preview that they are turning themselves into bridges between humanity and technology. Co-existence is a better idea than complete surrender.

Let wisdom prevail.

Amen!
