Where can you find a bell
that will ring in your dreams?
where can you find a dream
which will fire life
above, below and beyond
hollow spaces - that house
fear and consternation?
Where can you find a space
to call your own
impermeable to judgement
unwelcoming naysayers
open to exhilaration?
Where can you find
Exhilaration
-pure, unadulterated
where bells of acceptance
raise vibrations?
Where can you find a bell
that will ring in your dreams?
Darkness engulfs
silence is deafening
a restless soul screams…
Credits: First two lines are by Neruda
Good questions, Reena, but I was drawn to the spaces, the hollow ones, the one you can call your own, and how they led to the final lines of darkness, deafening silence and a restless soul’s scream.

Thank you so very much! It is usually the silence around things that disturb us, that really make one want to scream.

All your questioning stanzas resonate. I especially like the penultimate one
“where bells of acceptance
raise vibrations?”
A really fine response to the Neruda prompt – thank you for joining in – [but since you use his words directly in the poem you need to reference that.]
