Addressing the Beast

 it’s not a fig leaf
 you may not want to tear it down
 here’s a watchful eye
 which sees your dark soul
 cloistered in erroneous beliefs
 your primacy is felony
 but you strive hard 
 to keep myths alive
 get entrenched further
 in cesspools
 of your own making
  
 I would’ve welcomed you
 a companion, a partner 
 to live for a cause
 to live in peace
 to survive
 but you lost
 what you had
 when will you realize,
 O Man?
 you live in muck
 but don’t thrive
