I am an early bird, looking for that first worm

Up with the first beam of sunlight, I call out

To all those still slumbering, oblivious to the day’s challenges

Get up and grab the opportunities 
Time is wasting, get up and go

I need some rest now that I’ve lived a full life

Been to places, seen the world, did all that I wanted

I lived at a hectic pace, cramming everything in a short space 

Now I can sleep the sleep of contentment, without stress
