Catalysts

do you flee the scene
when things come apart; you miss
new doors opening

do you recoil from
death? life waiting outside goes
back disappointed

feet held steadfastly
to the ground cannot perceive
wings waiting to sprout

fear protects; disarms
potential; distrust bounces
saviors at the gate

learn to recognize
catalysts; they might take you
where you want to go
