I shudder to think
how candy became superfluous
in a practical mindset
so-called maturity
I’m afraid the buried child
will wake up and demand
short-term gratification
someday
to make life seem worthwhile
and that moment of joy
will outlive
profundity of existence
discovered elsewhere
Candy

I think we should be allowed to slip back into those simple gratifications every now and then… as long as we don’t get stuck there.

Getting stuck will be termed as a mental health issue 😇😂

If we don’t teach they will find out elsewhere.
Even back in my day, that happened. I learned
from the other school kids.

You took candy to an interesting place. I like this. We can’t suppress those desires sometimes and we all deserve a little candy.
