Silhouettes –
the dark shape and outline of someone or something visible in restricted light against a brighter background.
It’s not just a dictionary meaning. It represents the underground presence, hushed voices, crushed identities that lie beneath a story. They are the ones who created the outline, but disappeared either voluntarily or were compelled to do so.
The light that shines on stories are edited highlights to convey a particular message or glorify a section of truth.
I stop on seeing words etched in sand, TRUTH SHALL PREVAIL.
A strong wave washes it away. The sun is setting on the horizon.
When I think of silhouette I think of residue. You capture it well with “the ones who created the outline, but disappeared.”

The silhouette of a story is a great concept and gives me much to think about.

Thanks for letting me know. We never know the response in absence of comments. And that is why I love this blog. We are talking all the time.
