This is the most intriguing relationship.
You’ve never complained about being walked over, stamped on, trodden every day.
You always take me to my chosen or desired destination.
If my shoes have spiky heels, I wonder if a desire for revenge will possess you, and you may send me off in wrong directions … some place from where I can’t return and you live unharmed forever.
But you don’t … you are the path.
I’m sure the imprints of passers-by change you in some way, though you can’t express … you still carry umpteen unborn and dead stories within you.
Written for Six Sentence Stories

Inspiration’s path is not one all dare to follow, but with a little faith and persistence it’ll get you where you want to go.

What would the path say if it could talk?

Perhaps, it would narrate or reflect on stories it knows.

What a great line, Reena. “I’m sure the imprints of passers-by change you in some way, though you can’t express … you still carry umpteen unborn and dead stories within you.”

What a great perspective! That, not only are we influenced by the path we’ve chosen, but the path we follow is, in part, a function of our decision to walk it.
