Black and white

it’s pure, it’s a call of the soul
a wish to see myself as whole
I scan depths of oceans and climb dizzy heights

I walk through forests brown and green
splashed with yellows and carotene
I see all shades of rainbows, but yet no white

chosen invisibility
intrigues my sensibilities
it colors skies with vibrant rainbows, but hides

black emerges in the background
collective shades going around
purity being defied, yet emphasized

The chosen format is Black Narcissus Tercet Rima for Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge
