I’d love to be a stand-up comedian
say all the things I always wanted to say
get away without being called ruffian
ignore black and white, take advantage of gray
multiple meanings give enough protection
carry audience in loops, then get away
balancing words and time becomes perfection
quite unlike the days when politeness mattered
read between the lines, admire all inflections
I hear him sigh in between noise and chatter
he thinks of days when the arc lights won’t be there
maybe, popularity curves get flatter
this is his moment in stone, his signature
bringing on smiles, but terrified of closure
the ordinal word is climax darling

Thank you, Sadje! The ‘roast’ formats can get offensive at times.
