I wake up every morning with a thought. What if there are no calendars, rituals not imposed on me? Would I still make an effort to recap, review, reset?
I take sunrise and sunset for granted. Why do I need to worry about the number of times my planet revolves around the Sun? It’s an imperceptible change.
Whether I fear change or welcome it, I need to feel it in my neural pathways, in my bones and heartbeats to move ahead. What I fear is stagnation, hence, I celebrate.

Reena, I appreciate your philosophical waxing on celebration. I think you’re so right about wanting to choose movement over stagnation. It is the nature of sentient beings to invest in change.

A very interesting perspective of celebration! I really like your ending very much…
