I find a word somewhere on my morning walk, and I don’t know what it means. I stash it away in my bag as a keepsake, a reminder of the wonderful morning I feel lucky to breathe in.
The horror starts when the bag starts getting heavy. My shoulders ache, so I place it on the floor and the floor cracks up with its weight.
The word has grown into a full-fledged story by night – a story I do not wish to acknowledge or face.
An unnamed emotion can crack up the conscious mind, and give rise to …. abnormality, insanity, manic, depressive, bipolar, schizophrenic … I don’t know the right word for it, and none of these are similar to the word I found.
You send my mind on a journey, or better yet, walk to ponder. I believe I shall take Doug’s suggestion… I’ll leave my bag at home!

One can easily get lost in thought considering each of these paragraphs. Perhaps the word will only resurface when the person is ready to face it or acknowledge it. So much to consider in this SSS.

Fascinating concept. Remind me not to take a bag the next time I go walking. 🙂

A stunning metaphor, Reena. It conjures up so much in my mind.
The text-to-voice software is improving all the time, isn’t it?

Very profound and thought-provoking. I find this much like an enigma where the pieces have to be put together to understand the reason. I loved hearing your voice. Brava!

It’s a recorded voice 🙂. Anchor provides text-to-voice options with both a male and female voice.
