PROMPT #199
Here is a piece of dialogue.
“You came back.”
“But we are meeting for the first time.”
It is not necessary that you use the lines in your piece, though you are free to do so.
Imagine the situation and write a piece based on it.
That’s it.
There is no restriction on length or format of the piece. There is no last date either, unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
Any post that is found to be offensive, vulgar or something that hurts common sensibilities will not be included. This needs to be a safe space.
Create a post on your blog, and copy-paste the link in Comments. In case you are using a pingback, do check back to see if it has worked.
The feminists, humanists and individualists amongst you are welcome to follow us at

Hey Reena, had to find a way to get your feedback on my 2part story, 🙏🏾🙏🏾
But I think I qualify with how I used the prompt.

The darkness of poetry like “Back her into a corner… then teeth and fangs she will bear” remains long after one has closed the piece.
Why is lesbianism so insecure? Maybe there are answers in your novel. Are you participating in NanoWriMo?

I don’t know much about NanoWriMo but I don’t think I can participate in more than my regular prompts all the way to November as I’ll be hard at work on the novel.
I’m not sure why lesbianism is often insecure,
Maybe it is such an intense/concentrated love btn 2women that the fear of losing it looms over all the time.
Maybe the natural relationship balance sometimes just won’t click,
Maybe because most of the world seems/is against it,
Then there is the raising children bit…

Lesbianism isn’t really a theme in my ongoing novel though, so not many answers there.
