Reena – the word “manipulate” really struck me in this poem – it just sucks me in!

It is a dicey concept. One doesn’t like being manipulated, but has to manipulate (call it manage if you prefer a milder term) audiences, clients, fans just to remain in a spot.

This is a statement of affirmation! It’s kind of the opposite though of the refrain that women often hear on the job when they’re asking for more opportunity, a promotion etc….”stay in your lane”. I like your take though….that sometimes that groove is our specialty and we can excel there!

“Stay in your lane” is a wound that never heals. But that is a different subject.

I would second that emotion, but it looks like I’m 14th. Well done, again, Reena.

What have we made of our lives! Love the juxtaposition of the chase and its result.

The groove being self-defined or something in the rat race is what makes all the difference.
