I finally got around to cleaning the house, after a couple of lazy weekends.
Contents of drawers spilt out. As I was changing the newspaper lining the drawers, a voice stopped me. Eerily, the paper spoke.
“Check the date. You know a team worked so hard to get this out by dawn.”
“In pre-pandemic times? I haven’t bought a newspaper since then.”
“Screens have overtaken the pen.”
Back in the old days when paper and pen were tools of writers and artists. Nicely told, Reena.

Computer-generated art is something I’m yet to learn. Still using old-fashioned tools and colors.

Got a very good deal on the New York Times — full week for less than the cost of the Sunday paper. Perhpas the next sales pitch will be the paper can have a conversation with you. Funny thing is, we didn’t get the subscription until during the height of the pandemic when going to the store to pick up milk and the paper seemed just too risky.

Interesting stories from everywhere. But they are struggling hard to get back in business.

Yes, in general newspapers (the print version) have had a lot of issues keeping going.

We subscribe to the Sunday paper. Don’t know why because there is no good news and it is extremely biased. Hubby wanted the paper to read the sports section but even that is a disappointment.

Getting newspapers was a habit, read it fully or not. But the fear of infections through paper brought everything to a halt.

Interesting. I read where the virus can’t survive on paper but then who knows what to believe.
