Welcome back!
I came across a heart-wrenching picture of a drawing by a 4-year old, whose father is battling lung failure due to Covid in hospital.
When asked what was it she had drawn, she said
“Corona, Corona …. Everywhere Corona.”
The entire family was infected, but all others have recovered.
Then, I see people getting creative with a tragedy.
Here is a picture of a so-called corona fritter created by someone with the reverse end of cauliflower florets sticking out. I don’t think anybody ventured to eat it.
A quote that I come across right after this is
We don’t need you to make us feel safe, because you made us feel brave.
I think it is the least we can do for our kids, and people in various stages of affliction, caregiving and bereavement.
People feel brave or safe, when they know there is a network with them, that will stand by them. Let us be that network, be that source of strength to someone who needs it.
PROMPT #187
Well, it was a long write-up. But that quote is the prompt.
We don’t need you to make us feel safe, because you made us feel brave.
There is no restriction on length of the piece. There is no last date either, unless you wish to be featured in the Weekly Wrap.
