I think of Charlie Chaplin, as I walk through rain. He said he likes walking in the rain, as no one can see his tears.
I know I’ll be busy and back to a normal routine after getting back home.
Yet, these moments of solitude and raindrops bring so much to the surface – emotions I dare not admit to myself.
droplets on petals
stain consciousness, slip like tears
-forgotten sorrows

rain and charley chaplin…. then there’s rain and gene kelly…. and then there’s the one who collects our tears in a bottle with our name on it… rain inside or outside one get’s wet…. i like the expression of your emotions reflected in the raindrops…

I love soft rain. It brings many emotions within me to the surface. Everything from joy to mourning.
Your response to the prompt is quite touching.

Beautiful written. 🌹 Sometimes I find rain peaceful, sometimes like it tears I should have shed but couldn’t.

I love walks in gentle rain … not for Mr. Chaplin’s reason, just because it soothes me. Well done.
