The crows cawed cawed a curse,
The busy people never knew,
Noisily amongst their kin they carried,
Secret keeping they didn’t do.
Beyond the dragons of ire,
Where seething flames spit unhindered through darkness and light,
Beyond the mountains of desire,
Where unsurmountable peaks brushed against canvas of sky,
Did they stop to quench their thirst from teeming rivers of plentitude?
Did they stop to admire the valleys of unwilting blooms ?
What transpired between then and now,
The busy people never knew,
The crows cawed cawed a curse,
Putting all to slumber,
Sleeping beauty like I not know?
Shrouded in minds of obscurity,
Lying thicketed in clouds of uncertainty.
The crows cawed cawed a curse,
Putting all to slumber,

Only to wake up,

crows, is all nature a sentinel that reports to a higher power, possibly..

Hindus believe crows are representatives of their ancestors. IMO, the belief is propagated to keep the unusual looking birds well-fed and not shoo-ed away.
