Those twinkling eyes behind the branches looked at me in curiosity, but stepped behind as I advance with my phone camera. Shyness or fear?
It is lack of trust, as the mother snarls at me for coming too close. I move away to respect their privacy, but keep watching the babies on natural swings.
Baby monkeys are the cutest, not more than puppies or kittens though. I’ve not left my urban biases behind, yet marvel at motherhood instincts being the same across the planet.

So very different… to live close to such wonderful cuteness… and being able to get close.

I agree, as I have marveled at the mother instinct in various animals. It made me wonder about why some human mothers lack it.

I guess there is a time period for which it lasts. Humans take care of babies for the longest time.

What an awesome memory, Reena! Baby monkeys are indeed cute, but also well-protected by their mothers. I love the picture!
