west is where the sun sets, just to rest
mountains envelope the blazing sun
-erased memories of the day call
with dusk, nightfall, imagined endings
-azure, colour of hope now morphing
into grey, navy and then charcoal
spring is a while away, not too far
cool minds reflect, it’s not end of day
P.S
The prompt line is from Les Murray ‘September’
West mountains erased with azure, into spring cool
P.S. These are nine lines with nine syllables each
I love this and the fact that we chose the same awesome line of poetry.

Yes. It was easy to tackle. I would like to try out other lines, if time permits.

“cool minds reflect, it’s not end of day” – This is a nice reminder that neither the day nor the beauty of nature truly end. There is always more before us.

you doubled up on the 9s here- very well done – just need to cite the prompt line is from Les Murray ‘September’
and what a descriptive piece – especially love the last couplet
“spring is a while away, not too far
cool minds reflect, it’s not end of day”
