“The kids love playing here, but I’m afraid these wagons will become a criminal den. Need to be moved outta here.”
“These wagons are part of history – some legendary movies have been shot in these.”
“Really? Where are those actors who starred in the movies and shot their action scenes? Does anybody remember them?”
“It was a time when the wagons moved, and the actors’ names moved the box office.”
“Get it out of here, while I’m still moving.” Her voice is low, as she looks down at her bow-legs. Both of us know what to expect in future.
Reena, that was wonderful! It brought back the memories of the old movies I watched on TV years ago and made me think of seeing old cars that are just sitting on abandoned tracks around my State. Terrific!

Thank you! I wonder if unused cars become dens of vice, and are inhabited by anti-social elements.

Sometimes, they are just empty and kids like to play in them. Well, when I was young, yes. I don’t know about today, though.

Yes. Carriers become irrelevant as soon as the cargo is unloaded.

Lots of unanswered questions, but either they need to move the box cars or move themselves away from the what sounds like impending danger.

It is just about the realisation that everything has a shelf life.

I think I’m going to wonder for a long time what her bow-legs had to do with the story.

She has mobility issues, and is not sure for how long she will be able to walk smoothly.

I see. Rickets, perhaps? Caused by lack of vitamin D, it crippled many kids back in the day.

A time gone by. I do like a good ‘train’ movie!

Thank you, Iain! I remember one when the two protagonists who escape from prison are bound to each other by handcuffs, and move through similar wagons.

The last I watched was called ‘Snowpiercer’ – a dystopian sci-fi train movie!
