Contactless deliveries are in place. The delivery boy calls for the OTP, and leaves the parcel at the doorstep. I exercise care to leave the parcel in the sun for a few hours, carefully discard the packaging and carry only the contents inside – to be washed and disinfected again.
Just that happiness isn’t as pure as it used to be, and God does not have a return policy. I have to keep whatever is mine – paid for in advance with no refunds.
I’ve learnt to recycle what doesn’t suit my needs, and put it to better use – BEST FROM WASTE.
Good thing it isn’t booby-trapped. Or IS it? Hmmmm. 😀
Nice story, Reena.

Ah, just don’t leave it in the sun if it is groceries … because … yeah, they’ll be ‘wasted’ … 😉
Interesting times we live in, eh?

Well told, Reena. Indeed, science seems to making the way for better health as we move into the age of designer face masks. 🙂

Yes. I guess the garment industry should get a fillip, as people are identified more by their clothes than face.

We do the same! Everything’s left at the house entrance (except masks which go directly in the wash basket.)

If you’d have written this a year ago it would have read as fictitious fantasy! Strange times.
Here’s mine!

The present times were just science fiction, a year ago.

There are two very strong themes developing this week, and I’ve read only six stories so far. Interesting.

From people to parcels, everything has to pass through disinfectants right at the doorstep. Phew! What times are we living in !
