Disadvantage

She stops midway between sentences, and withdraws from conversations. She is always the first to say that the project or deal is not likely to move ahead.The onus is on her, but her predictions often turn true. 

In her younger years, she participated in a training program on self-development, and her feedback to the trainer was “You hold back a lot.” He replied in private that her level of sensitivity is high. It ended there.

But going forward, she knew it was her uncanny power of observation, that made her aware of fleeting expressions on the other’s face. She could read a lot between the lines – things that the other person would flatly deny having thought or said. 

So, the onus of decisions is always on her.
