Writer’s Cave

essence of you
comes alive
in patterns of ink
expressions painted with care
thoughts fleshed up in words
reflecting my interpretations
of the Essence of You
 
meanwhile…
you change colors
mutate
In amoebic movements
grow hydra heads
challenging authenticity
of my picture
 
if this happens
you react
in this manner
but then….
you choose a different path
like the unlikeable
do the undo-able
 
I watch helplessly
from the writer’s platform
as my characters
look intent
on driving me back
to the writer’s cave
to explore darkness
