Sunset

Social media posts spoke about senior lives being silenced in corona-infested hospitals, as the medical infrastructure was inadequate to manage the load.

It is the base thought behind the piece …

What were their last thoughts, when a needle pierced into their consciousness, transporting them to another level? They were old, and the system could not bear the burden of their existence.

We come with an expiry date, but not a defined one. Unknown powers decide when to publish the date, but at times, they come alive in known faces. They decide when to end the story.

It is not about the physical pain of existence, which dissipates away. What remains with the soul is the rejection from a world where one breathed, to which one dedicated a lifetime.

rising suns see long
ways to go, unaware of
last destinations-
it's here but you don't see your
reflection in dusky skies

  1. ‘ It is not about the physical pain of existence, which dissipates away. What remains with the soul is the rejection from a world where one breathed, to which one dedicated a lifetime.’ So moving piece of writing.
