The future beckons, however attractive or difficult it seems at this point of time.
Yes, we will be free – to drive around, work, meet people, shop, eat out.
But the awareness of shackled feet intimidates. The psyche will surely carry imprints from this phase. Uncertainty will loom large, as newer methods of violence and control emerge. It does not take weaponry to wage a war, but it takes a whole world to fight against it and survive.
There is so much in life that cannot be taken for granted. Loved ones found to be infected are taken away. If they survive, we are grateful. If not, we are informed about the death and bodies disposed by the administration. There is no chance to see a loved one that last time, or hold a child’s hand on her last journey.
I see discipline and increased respect for nature. I also see thrift, economic struggles, Back to Basics existence in the oncoming recession. I’m transported to the future several times in a day, but the view is not always bright.
Great post Reena. I like your point about “back to basics.” Thank you. Keep safe🙏

This is very honest portrayal of the current situation, Reena. We have no idea what the future holds. I fear it will be worse before it gets better. Stay safe.
