Lost & found

Lost-found …. by Aishwarya

Kitty's Verses

Pockets of stillness,

When aura parts his body,

While she,

Questions her maps, wondering what would her future hold,

Some plausible explanation, many a cynical assertions,

Here I am, without him,

Like a lost alphabet,

Waiting for any promising sign, some comfort,

As light fades, crumbing thoughts her only companion,

Was that really me? That, who was annoyed with his child-like pranks,

Who would I look forward to,

Now that familiarity has crossed the shore and,

Only undulating patterns remain.

That happiness, free flowing bonds,

Would I get to experience again?

Moments of uncertainty, a pregnant pause,

While she looks around,

Only potential emptiness gnaws at her,

From nowhere,

A shimmer of light beckons,

A tiny, firm, unmistakeable hand clings on,

While their creation, demands her care and protection,

That ray of light,

Ensures,

His legacy continues.
