“Is it possible to achieve the state of nothingness in meditation?” The furrowed brow did not spell hope.
“I’d prefer to call it restful awareness – just being without expectations or action.”
“Why is nothingness so hyped?”
“The common method of cleansing negativity, de-addiction is to replace it with something else – thoughts or habits. It is an extension of the same theme, with the object of your affection being replaced. This method spells freedom – the freedom of being at Zero, and a choice to start again.”

This is microfiction or nanofiction. But the source of inspiration of this piece is a rather wordy song. Those interested can check out this link

This is a state I wish I could achieve on a regular basis! Don Juan would tell Carlos (in the Castaneda books) to stop his internal dialogue. More difficult than it sounds but a very cool state.
You’re right. It does boil down to choice in the end. And who doesn’t want the opportunity to start again 🙂
Cool Six.

Thank you, Denise! We need not aim for perfection. Reaching somewhere close is also better than a noisy mind.

Thought provoking six. If only to free one’s mind for a moment of time.

A great thought-provoking Six! We have our minds trained to be endlessly engaged. The opportunity to silence that is blissful.
