That kid sitting in the shopping cart was both awful and awesome – for the manner in which he manoeuvred his parents through the supermarket aisles, to buy stuff of his choice.
“Sonny, we can’t afford to buy all that in a week.”
“You should have chosen to remain child free.” They were taken aback by his audacity.
Kids are spoilt for choice with the variety available, and learn to take decisions early –to the extent of making brutal statements, testing parents for their ‘cool’ness.

Sadly,this scene takes place way to often. I sometimes wonder what what kind of parent I might have been and what my children might have been like. Parenting is a 24/7 job…not sure I would have been up to it. Thanks for sharing your lines.
