Great idea to personify emotions and pain by showing their convoluted ancestry, and just like deeply hurt people, can be so mixed up that they have lost a sense of identity, even their own names.

Uncontrolled emotions do have a will of their own. I’ve not figured out the cause-and-effect relationship between enzymes, hormones, neural pathways and emotions.
