wolves that feed
my inner world
cause me to rebel
-take a stance
fight or fly
win or lose
laugh or cry
reminisce
churn
regurgigate
-become poetry
I beat it
till it speaks
an acceptable language
-squash it in moulds
to create formats
-looks different
from my inner suffering
-gives me a mask
to hide my pain
-is hailed as creativity
becomes poetry
Awesome!

Yes! The world would be a much scarier place if we didn’t disguise our demons with metaphors and similes on the page to make them more acceptable.

Yes. It also turns complex reality into a comprehensible and digestible capsule.

Maybe we cannot do it in any other way… the mask is what we bear to show… pain would be way too much to lay bare

Yes, the struugles, joys, triumphs, tragedies, pleasures, pains – the good and the bad all feed our poetry. Well expressed here Reena!

Truth about poetry…it often churns and must be regurgitated into prettier language. Great response, Reena!

Oh I love this! How much we wrestle with our demons in order to make them seem pretty! ❤️

“-become poetry” – Yes. This outlet we use allows us to take control of our situations.

No mask hides the pain here. It seems a well written catharsis.

These lines made me smile, Reena:
‘I beat it
till it speaks
an acceptable language
-squash it in moulds’.

This is normally said about data – how we manipulate it to show the results we want 🙂
