harbingers-
pregnant pauses
which shape thoughts
in color of expectations
to recreate
a future
I often stop
to think
would it have been different
if the messenger
had not appeared
at that destined moment?

Well written–and intriguing. Yes, there is always that what if.

This is so simple, but so profound. I think we all ask that question – it’s the ultimate “what if?” – but I guess we will never know. Unless we get cast in a “It’s a Wonderful Life” remake, of course.

Hopefully those messengers helped in some way, but I wonder as well whether it was good to know or not.
