Strange are the ways of the world …..
They needed a manmade material to protect Nature from being stripped and eroded, and they invented me. I was hailed as a life-changing invention. I was utilized in everything from containers to aircraft.
Today, I am being blamed for not letting Nature breathe. Did they not foresee this? They unleashed me on the world, and lost all control in the manner of being used. Now, they choose to blame me rather than the inventors or users.
I count my remaining days in a bin for non-recyclable waste. Will they find another way of breaking me down for further consumption?
As with anything, we must remember what impact it will have. I don’t blame the inventors or the users but rather how we treat the waste once it’s been used. Good observation, Reena.

Thanks! Use of paper was once minimized to save the trees. Now, it is considered as an alternative to plastic, so we use paper bags.

But we’re also actively replacing trees now rather than just cutting them all down. So maybe we learned something?

I hope we implement all the learning.
