Threads that bind

It is a beautiful island. I’ve come here to write my book. The residents are nice enough to leave me alone.

Till … there is a scare about an impending storm, and the island being flooded after that. The water is crossing the danger mark. People gather to devise a strategy, and get to know each other in the process. I discover there are many others like me, who are not original inhabitants of this place. This local residents earn their livelihood by hosting tourists.

I see the island transforming into an archipelago. I hope it will become a new nation one day, and natural disasters will have a role in shaping it.

I get a new direction for the book I’m writing.
