logging in
at a specified time
tackling chores
in a particular order
tickboxing
tasks as complete
I did not ever realize
how clean inboxes
became timely delivery
how obsessions
became efficiency
I’m lauded for
I just can’t think
away from the screen
it is this rectangle
which controls life-
also makes me a slave
of all that I am today

It is good to know each other 😀 One values it all the more, when you see youngsters goofing up due to a lack of structure.

They will figure it out. Life will teach them some lessons. 🙂

Also, rectangle is an often pleasant distraction from reality.

Nice lines: “I just can’t think
away from the screen” I don’t think I can either, but hopefully I do.

obsession and passion propel us Reena, I like how you turned yours into something productive, choosing to write about an ordinary action, and not an ordinary object, though you mention the screen later, I was still admiring the words about the actions you took. this was quite unexpected but then you always take the prompt a level up Reena-style! nice! and thank you for participating.
