Collective echoes

I remained
unseen, unheard
bearing your fruit
repaying debts
of earthly existence.

glow of womanhood
inspiration of art
passed through me
yet did not etch
defining lines
of individuality.

I’ve found my voice
ask for my rightful share
refuse to be trampled upon
to satisfy your needs
I hear collective echoes
as the sisterhood says
#MeToo
