Ageing is not a particularly pleasant experience. Yet, I rejoice in being the person I am, with added wisdom, missing in yesteryears.
I have a laser vision, despite the glasses I wear to read. I can see through fake-ness, flattery, manipulation and deceit.
I have a signature style in everything from attire to writing, which is independent of fleeting trends.
I have real stories to tell, which are not crafted by a professional.
my ugliness won’t
matter, as long as I can

LOVE this, Reena. This has to be one of my favourites of yours….so far. I think social awareness/intelligence is the highest form of wisdom, which lasts longer than any physical beauty.

It occurs to me that seeing age as ugliness is a construct of media. As you illustrate, there are many gifts that come with age.
