Full circle

Adam is moving, and he has put up a garage sale of books, though he doesn’t hope to get a decent amount for it.

He watches a lady spend a lot of time browsing, as if searching for something.

“Any specific title you’re looking for, Ma’m?”

“The title is Go for Gold. It’s not available outside, and I’ll pay any price you ask for.”

His expression changed, and the place was surrounded by police vans in a jiffy.

“We’ve waited for you for a decade, Ms. Smith. You forgot contraband goods in a book case, when you vacated this house.”
