Not always good

It is a foggy winter morning like any other, but there is an unusual heaviness in the air. There is a smell I don’t like, though it doesn’t qualify to be called a stench.

The radio is on to keep me updated on the time it takes for the drive. I sense a traffic jam ahead, which would perhaps delay me. What could be the cause, other than weak vision?

I see several stray dogs thronging the sidewalk, making pathetic, sorry sounds, and spilling over on the road. They are not willing to give way to the cars. After all, it is these human drivers who kill their kith and kin, and blame it on the fog.

birds chirp in trees, but

mornings are not always good

hand of fate prevails
