a ropes cuts my skin and soul
shackles hamper movement
but keep me glued to life
apathetic knots
outdated rules
bonds unresolved
a pull makes me turn back
a nudge spurs me on
imagined bonds…..
turn out to be
wishful thinking
understanding bondage
helps me value
freedom
all the more
what it really meant
Freedom is more valued once you have been shackled and not given a voice.

Agree. We carry it within, and it affects all future decisions.

True especially about ropes that stop you from falling, but still once someone is free, they have to wonder what purpose shackles ever served. Liked this a lot.

We are shackled in so many ways – understanding how is the first step towards freedom. Well said.
