reluctant participants
in each other’s life
they did their best
to cobble a life together
and retain some space
for individuality
a stained glass table
provoked thoughts
if it was constituted
of spaces
or fillers
of empty moments
yet
the picture
looks heartbreakingly
beautiful

Heartbreaking, beautiful. I guess the beauty comes out of them doing their best – there is in love in that. Plenty of willing participants in each other’s lives take love for granted and do less than their best.

Nice phrase: “heartbreakingly
beautiful” I like how the cobbles come together yet retain individuality.

I love the metaphor this provides…a stained glass, cobbled life. Beautiful.
