“The fact that I myself, at the moment of painting, do not understand my own pictures, does not mean that these pictures have no meaning; on the contrary, their meaning is so profound, complex, coherent, and involuntary that it escapes the most simple analysis of logical intuition.”

  1. This was a really thoughtful piece, in my opinion. It made me ponder on the first line a lot especially. In my reading it felt like imagination recreating inner worlds gives the impression that an imaginative act is one of creation but when you have the reader consider it the other way around, inner worlds recreating imagination, that could be seen more as conceiving imagination as a reflection of inner realities. It makes ‘inner worlds’ a more solid though and shifts the meaning and implications of ‘reacreating’. With inner worlds as the start of the sentence you reconsider the whole thing. Which, you kind of got two interesting lines for the price of one there. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Every experience is E1. Our memory of it is E2 – with our additions, deletions and modifications. Uncertainty is a result of constant intrapersonal interactions between the inner and outer worlds, and the consequent impact on interpersonal interactions.
