Homeless

born and raised

but alone in a mindset

I kept looking outside

to talk, to share, to opine

I never ever felt at home.

college was fun

with kids around

indulging in frivolity.

Realization… of a higher mental age

struck… I never ever felt at home.

work excited me

as a platform

to showcase all that I thought of

and create the world I dreamt of.

Alas …. I never ever felt at home.

I learnt to walk alone

with no fear

of death or separation

failed expectations

goodbye, life…  I have never ever felt at home.

  1. Ths was an excellent exploration of Homeless Reena. Its that sense of belonging I think that allows us to function within the community in which we live….thanks so much for adding your thoughts to the Tale Weaver.
