Time

Time held captive

by history books

calendars and clocks,

claimed by inflated egos

as their golden eras

of personal achievement.

Time struggles

to be recognized

as a flowing stream

where denizens of the world

step in and step out

leaving it unlabelled, undefined.

A child waits for

liberation of time

to let the fairies

step out of stories

making pure joy

evergreen, contemporary.
