I felt like a Mughal princess walking through this passage of fate.

The trees were arm-twisting each other to take a bow, and create a shady path for me to walk on. I saw interesting animal shapes embedded in the trunks, and if wondered if the spirit of the forest had come together as a whole. All that was missing was a red carpet beneath my feet.

I looked into the last arch, where I would emerge into the real world. An uncertain future awaited me. This path would be soon be blocked with snow.

  1. Truth! Life is not always romantic. The social media bubble of perfection, the heightened expectations for end of year, holidays, and starting anew…it can be overwhelmingly oppressive. Taking a moment to just breathe….and read…I’m reading a lot these days 😉 Thank you so much for your sage advice and constant companionship in this journey, my writing friend 🙂
