I am unable to get Harvey Weinstein and #MeToo off my mind. He is not the first, nor will he be the last controversial figure.
Trust is certainly on the decline. Arguments and counter-arguments will follow, and the media will get content without much effort. What and how do we teach our daughters and sons about safe interactions? At what point should they raise an alarm? Should they feel guilty, if there was an initial attraction, but things slided down later? What exactly is the ‘charm offensive?’
How do psychopaths or narcissists conduct themselves at various stages? The inclusion of these two words might raise eyebrows, but I believe that it takes a narcissist to think that s/he is always acceptable to others, and a psychopath to think that s/he need not take the other’s point of view into consideration.
Writers are sensitive and compassionate individuals, who put themselves in shoes of different shapes and sizes, to create a story. Stand in the shoes of an individual, making an effort to rebuild trust.
What will you do?
The entries of last week will remain entrenched in my memory for long, as it generated some intense discussions. Glad to peep into your minds and hearts through your writing. For me, it becomes a part of collective consciousness.

Another timely prompt and for that i am deeply thankful to our lovely hostess Reena.
Here’s my contribution by way of a short story. Hope you enjoy it and the inherent message that it seeks to convey. Thanks, Neel .
