The show must go on

I have lived in a bubble for too long, and I hear that it will burst at some point, breaking my reverie. The naysayers do not realize its immense advantage as an insulation.

It shields me from the insanity outside. How many people know that celebrities are humans, with aches and wounds, just like ordinary mortals? We have been hurt, but we cannot show … lest it becomes a show-stopper.

The show must go on, till I drown or drain.

Petals are delicate

wither away with touch

but sewn in garlands

their sighs are inaudible

and pain shortens their life

  1. wow 😀

thanks for playing the Sunday writing prompt Reena 🙂

wonderful ideas here – love the play and use of bubbles and how surfaces are made and broken – appearances can be shallow but there are always truths and essences beneath – most often indistinguishable from others – that speak of pain, insecurities etc. And I really loved the poem -the idea of petals – and the lines

    absolutely stunning! gorgeous imagery!

I hope you have a wonderful week 🙂
